Here at Sabalos Lodge you can explore the beauty
of the Nicaraguan wilderness along the Rio San
Juan. Take a dip in the crystal clear water
deep inside the rainforest with whiteface monkeys
watching you from above. Cool down after a long
day in our hammocks by the riverbank while having
a cold drink, or just enjoy our specialty, the
fresh fish plate.
This is the place for the true
adventurer and our goal is to give each of our
visitors a genuine experience that will last
for a lifetime. The biodiversity of the area
offers you the chance of seeing exotic wildlife
right outside your cabin.

Our Cabins
Tarzan Cabin:
Located at the San Juan River’s edge,
over 10 feet above the ground. Its welcoming
balcony spreads out over the water’s edge.
Its private bathroom is directly off the second
floor sleeping area for convenience. US$50.00
per night.
Jane Cabin:
Located at the San Juan River’s edge,
over 10 feet above the ground, you will find
our open-air cabin that seems to float on the
water, of curse it’s better than Tarzan
cabin. It’s designed for a girl. Its private
bathroom is directly off the second floor sleeping
area for convenience. The terrace it’s
at the same level allows you to relax to the
fresh air in one of our gently swaying hammocks
or temptingly comfortable chairs. US$50.00 per
night.
Chita Cabin:
Located at the San Juan River’s edge,
over 10 feet above the ground. Its welcoming
balcony spreads out over the water’s edge.
Its private bathroom is directly off the second
floor sleeping area for convenience. US$50.00
per night.
Jaguar Cabin:
Located at the San Juan River’s edge,
over 10 feet above the ground. Its welcoming
balcony spreads out over the water’s edge.
Its private bathroom is directly off the second
floor sleeping area for convenience. US$50.00

Howler monkey cabin:
Located at the San Juan River’s edge,
around 10 feet above the ground. The huge bathroom
area is an exclusive balcony to see the howler
monkeys just in your back yard when the monkeys
cross around Sabalos Lodge. US$50.00 per night.
Family Cabin:
Situated right at the water’s edge, the
ample front porch overlooking The San Juan River,
this comfortable cabin has a living room and
a bedroom: one large bedroom with two double
beds. The living room has 2 sofas which can
be converted into double beds, and if needed,
an additional single bed can be set up. There
is a private bathroom inside the cabin. Awaken
to the morning sounds of singing birds and tarpon
stirring the waters, as you sip your coffee
in one of the chairs or the hammocks on the
porch. US $60.00 per night.
The Fish Cabins:

Restaurant and Bar
Service:
A la carte restaurant and bar service, featuring
breakfast, lunch, dinner, sandwiches, snacks,
beverages- fresh and delicious.

Electric power of the Lodge
The whole electric system of the hotel works
with solar energy, hydro electrical power and
we reinforce with electric motors.

What to do here in
Sabalos
We offer a great combination
for half day tour: Horse, boat dig observation,
and kayak.
Approximate 1 hour with 30 minutes by horse,
30 minutes around the rest of the boat from
XIX century, and finish with 1 hour 20 minutes
by kayak.
This package is U$ 35 dollars per person.

In a fantastic combination
you can go by canoe or kayak traveling in Sabalos
river around two hours until our bikes, then
you will be able to traveler for small villages
and visit the plantation of African Palm.

days to San Juan del Norte by kayak. 3 or 4
days tour.
Tour of history, trails and
forest: El Castillo/and private reserve of Ramiro
Reyes by horse. 2 people U$ 75 each. 3 people
U$ 60 each. 4 people U$ 50 each. Tour to El
Castillo, then 2 hours by horse on trails of
pastures, cultivations and forest until the
private reserve, then 2 or 3 hours of walk on
trail of cultivation and forest. Return could
be by horse by the same trail (2 hours) or by
boat 25 minutes.
Tour of history and culture.
El Castillo/La Pintada. 2 people U$ 65 each.
3 people U$ 45 each. 4 people U$ 40 each. Tour
to El Castillo, then 2 hours walk on trails
of pastures and local cultivations until arrive
to small village where you will learn how to
prepare and share local food on season with
the people of the community. Return could be
walking by the same trail (2 hours) or by boat
25 minutes.
Tour of history and forest:
El Castillo/and private reserve of Antonio Gomez
by horse. 2 people U$ 65 each. 3 people U$ 45

then 3 hours by horse on trails of pastures,
cultivations and forest until return to El Castillo.

line Nicaragua and Costa Rica by horse. 2 people

minutes by horse on trails of pastures and cultivations
