Colonial Granada, Ometepe, Masaya and Lake Nicaragua

DAY 1: Arrival in Managua or arrival from Costa Rica and transfer to Granada, the colonial pearl of Nicaragua. This seashore village is famous for its abundant colonial arquitecture, beautiful traditions and culture, as well as for its scenic beauty, being situated on Lake Nicaragua. If time permits it, we will discover the streets of this charming city. Overnight in Granada

DAY 2: Breakfasts. Today, we will visit a neighbour department of Granada called Masaya. We will first visit the Masaya Volcano, where you can admire the active crater and panoramic views. After, you will head back to the town of Masaya where we will visit the famous market, probably one of the most popular places to buy authentic and beautiful handcrafts and pottery. After, we will go to the LookOut Point and restaurant of Catarina, where the visitor can see the Ometepe Island, Lake Nicaragua, Mombacho Volcano and the two volcanoes of Ometepe, Concepcion and Maderas. After the delicious lunch, we will visit yet another famous pottery and handcrafts town called San Juan de Oriente. Late afternoon and evening at leisure to discover Granada. Overnight in Granada.

DAY 3: Breakfasts. Today, we will visit the Mombacho Volcano and Nature Preserve, situated near Granada City. Here, the visit can explore the trails and see different types of vegetation and wildlife. The views are also amazing. After a delicious lunch, transfer back to Granada where a local boat will take you to explore the famous Lake Nicaragua and its more than 350 Islets called the Granada Islets. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight in Granada.

DAY 4: Breakfasts. Departure to the town of San Jorge, situated south of Granada on the shores of Lake Nicaragua. Here, you will board the ferry that will take you to Ometepe Island. After check in, horseback riding tour to explore the Islands and Pre-Columbian stones, as well as the beautiful and unique nature and panoramic views of the Island. Afternoon and evening at leisure and overnight in Ometepe.

DAY 5: Breakfasts. Day in Ometepe. Today you will explore the fantastic nature of Maderas Volcano, its wildlife, animals and vegetation and the famous cloud forest and amazing views. You can also visit the beautiful creeks, rivers and cascades and the nature in general. Once back at the hotel, afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beach or relax in the hotel. Overnight in Ometepe.

DAY 6: Breakfasts. Departure back to San Jorge and transfer to Granada. Afternoon arrival and time to explore Granada one more time. Overnight in Granada.

DAY 7: Breakfasts. Transfer back to Managua or possible extension to Costa Rica.
