8 days and 7 nights

DAY 1: Arrival. Meeting and assistance. Transfer to the hotel in Managua. Afternoon and evening at leisure and overnight in Managua.

DAY 2: Managua – Catarina – Ometepe. Breakfasts. Early morning transfer to Ometepe Island on Lake Nicaragua. On the way, visit the Catarina Lookout point and restaurant, form where the visitor can admire the panoramic views of amazing Nicaragua. Arrival at San Jorge port. Board the ferry and transfer to Ometepe Island. Check in and evening at leisure. Overnight in Ometepe Island.

DAY 3: Ometepe – Volcano Maderas. Breakfasts. Tour to Maderas Volcano on Ometepe Island. Amazing cloud forests, incredible views, waterfalls and rich flora and fauna are part of the tour. Afternoon return and evening at leisure. Overnight in Ometepe.

DAY 4: Ometepe – Volcano Concepción. Guided hike to the top of Volcano Concepcion. Walk around one of the craters. Amazing view and pristine cloud forest enhance the way. Many species of wildlife also inhabit the area. Afternoon return and time at leisure. Overnight in Ometepe.

DAY 5: Ometepe – Volcano Masaya – Granada.Breakfasts. Back to San Jorge by ferry and transfer to Masaya Volcano and National Park. Walk up to the still active crater. Back in the town of Masaya, visit the famous market and buy some nice handcrafts locally made. After lunch, back to the colonial pearl of Nicaragua, charming lakeshore Granada. Afternoon at leisure to explore the cozy city and its streets or relax in a restaurant, bar or at the hotel. Overnight in Granada.

DAY 6: Granada – Mombacho – León. Breakfasts. Tour to Mombacho Volcano and Nature Preserve. Hike through the cloud forest trails, match native wildlife, plants and trees and hike around one of its craters. After a delicious lunch, transfer to the charming city of Leon, also famous for being a colonial jewel and historical treasure. Afternoon at leisure to explore Leon and its streets or rest in your hotel. Overnight in Leon.

DAY 7: Breakfasts. Tour to Cerro Negro Volcano. Cerro Negro is the youngest volcano in Nicaragua, with only 160 years. It is said that Cerro Negro will have an eruption soon. The volcano is situated overlooking the city of Leon, which he has covered in ashes in several occasions. Its name means black mountains, probably because of the pitch black volcanic sand and rocks that cover the entire cone. Although only 745 meters high, there are no shades and climbing up is hard. We will climb it all the way to the crater, where the visitor will enjoy an amazing view of the surroundings and the inside of the crater, with its steaming gas fumaroles. After the climb, we will walk or run down again, it is up to you. After the adventure, we will head back to the city of Leon, where, after lunch, we will discover the amazing ruins of the city and the old colonial, and neoclassical buildings. After, visit the San Jacinto Hot Water Springs and from there, transfer to Managua. Late afternoon arrival and check in. Overnight in Leon.

DAY 8: Breakfasts. Transfer to the airport and departure. In case of en extension to Costa Rica, transfer to the border and departure from Nicaragua.
